Walking In A Winter Wonderland

It was my birthday on Sunday and what better way to spend it than to visit the magical Winter Wonderland? I’ve always wanted to go so my boyfriend Jake booked for us to go for my birthday. I was so excited and it certainly did not disappoint!

First we visited the Magical Ice Kingdom. This was a big display of lots of incredible ice sculptures that ranged from polar bears to ice thrones where you could sit and have a picture taken. It was freezing but so worth it as we got lots of amazing pictures!

Next we looked around all the Christmas markets and tried out some of the food stalls. The markets were beautiful and were full of lovely Christmas decorations and gifts that you could buy for loved ones. We also toasted marshmallows over a fire where a kind lady offered to take a picture for us.

After we had looked around all the markets and had eaten our body weights in food, it was time for us to go ice skating. The ice skating rink was lit up beautifully with fairy lights and had a big Christmas tree in the middle. It was so romantic skating around together under the lights even though we were both rubbish to start with.

Finally, we made our way to the ice bar where we enjoyed a cocktail from a cup made of ice. They were also kind enough to give Jake and I a free shot as it was my birthday. I loved it in here but it was so cold that we didn’t stay long.

We finished the night by going to my favourite restaurant Pizza Express where I enjoyed trying things off their new Christmas menu to keep in with the festive theme.

So that’s it for our day in Winter Wonderland. I honestly had the best birthday and so so grateful to my amazing boyfriend Jake for making my birthday so special.

Let me know if you’ve ever visited Winter Wonderland or if you’re planning to go soon!

  With love,

    Beth X

Thank you so much! It is honestly such a lovely place, this was my first time and I loved it. The ice bar isn’t too bad but you don’t want to be in there very long haha xx
