So today I thought I would share with you my top 5 lipsticks. As I love reading these I thought it would be nice to share my favourites with you. So here you go, my top 5 lipsticks of all time…
Kylie Lipkit in the shade Koko K
I know you have all probably seen the hype about Kylie Lipkits and they certainly do not disappoint! This lipstick is perfect for an everyday look. I pop this on before going to work as I know it will stay on all day without fail. It is also great if you want to tone down a make up look with a pinky nude. I love to pair this with a brown smokey eye for an effortless evening look.
MAC Matte Lipstick in the shade Velvet Teddy
Ok so I know you must’ve heard so many people bang on about this lipstick but I truly do love it. It is the perfect brown toned nude colour that makes even the most simple looks seem edgy and put together. I would definitely recommend popping on a bit of lip balm before using this as it can be drying on the lips. Apart from that I cannot fault this lipstick. For an every day look, I would just wear this with a soft brown eyeshadow and mascara. Or for a more edgy look I would pair with a subtle smokey eye and winged liner.
MAC Matte Lipstick in the shade Please Me
This lipstick is the perfect pinky nude shade. I wore this a lot while at sixth form as it made you look like you had put way more effort into your makeup look than you actually had. It is the perfect lipstick to finish off a pinky toned eye make up look, or to tone down a dark look. I would again suggest you pop a lip balm on before using this product as it can be quite drying. This is hands down my go to pink shade.
Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream in the shade Cannes
This is another lipstick you may have heard of before and will be an essential in my Autumn make up bag this year! The colour is so hard to explain so I will give it my best shot, it is a dark pink with a reddy brown undertone. If you’re not quite confident enough to rock the dark berry look when the Autumn months come round (like me!), this lipstick is perfect for you. I find this is more subtle and sophisticated and is therefore a favourite of mine for this time of year.
Kylie Lipkit in the shade 22
The best way I can describe this shade is it is a dark orangey red. I love a red lip but as my lips are naturally quite full, a bright red lip can sometimes make me look washed out. This however is way more subtle and gives a classic red lip feel without being too in your face. I love wearing this with a soft brown smokey eye for a full glam evening look, or simply with a coat of mascara for a more put together day time look.
So there you have it, my top 5 lipsticks of all time. It would be great if you could let me know some of your favourite lipsticks in the comments as I would love to try some new ones.
Thanks for reading.
